Bill Rudgard - Company Director

Bill's career began in feature films as Assistant to the Producers on Chariots of Fire, Flash Gordon, Give My Regards to Broadstreet and the first Superman, as well as TV projects like The Rutles. He then moved into producing music videos, concert films and television commercials for The Clash, Sex Pistols & 10CC, among others.

In 1993, he created the number 1 video sell through Police Stop!, which sparked the original police video genre in the UK with Police Camera Action. Bill also helped bring Robot Wars (BBC2) to British screens from America and created Sky One’s Xtreme As It Gets! series and he has produced over 40 hours of primetime shows for Sky One. Bill has also created the niche crime clip archive CCTV Archive.

Steve Warr - Company Director

Steve was the first producer to mix police video with observational documentary with the hugely popular docusoap X-Cars for BBC 1. He produced Roger Cook’s current affairs series The Cook Report (ITV) for four years, followed by two other massively popular television shows Crime Beat (BBC 1) and Police, Camera, Action (ITV). Steve trained as a journalist and worked for five years as a news reporter on several Fleet Street papers before moving into television.

Claire Walker - Production Manager

After 5 years working in corporate HR, Claire decided it was time to get creative and do something different.  After completing a multi-media degree, encompassing web design and interactivity, programme making, and design she embarked on a career in television. Claire started worked on Weaponology II, a documentary series for Discovery looking at the evolution of weapons and technology for Special Forces, before moving onto The Paul O'Grady Show. However, Claire’s passion for documentaries led her to find a home at Raw Cut. Over the years she has worked her way up through the ranks to Production Manager, working on programming across the company’s broad portfolio, including Police Interceptors, Neighbourhood Blues and the recent Dispatches: The Truth About Drugs in Football. She is also overseeing several development projects which involve managing crews working abroad in Afghanistan and Indonesia.

Martin Oxley - Executive Producer for Development

Martin Oxley is Executive Producer for Development at Raw Cut. Starting out at LWT and Carlton, on such diverse titles as Tarrant on TV, Tonight with Jerry Springer and, Animals Do The Funniest Things, he went on to work with some of the biggest names in TV including Jerry Springer, Dale Winton and Kirsty Gallagher as well as some household shows including TV's Naughtiest Blunders and Katie & Peter: The Next Chapter.

More recently, Martin has established and produced successful brands including Wogan: Now & Then for UKTV and The Alan Titchmarsh Show for ITV1 at Spun Gold. Before joining Raw Cut, Martin was Executive Producer at Bullseye Productions on the highly successful Les Denis's Home Video Heroes and Eurotrash: The Sexy Bits, both of which he formatted for the Virgin channels.

Hugo Ward - Producer

Hugo is the driving force behind our Current Affairs team. He started out winning a place on the BBC News Trainee Scheme in 2002 and since then has enjoyed an illustrious and varied career in News and Current Affairs. Hugo worked as a news producer for BBC Radio Five Live and LBC Radio, reporting at the Athens Olympics. A spell in Australia saw him work as a producer and reporter for Channel 7 News, before becoming the Editor of a one hour daily news and current affairs programme at Network Ten. On his return he worked as a producer for Sky and Channel 5 News, where he produced an undercover news feature in Zimbabwe and pioneered the first online news streaming service on social network site, MySpace. Since moving out of news, Hugo has worked for several production companies including development roles at Quicksilver Media  and October Films, where he produced BBC1’s Tormented Lives.

Dee Kahlon - Development

Dee trained as a journalist before being one of six people to get a place on the 2002 FT2 Researcher Scheme which saw her working across four major production companies on projects including the Emmy award winning first series of Brat Camp, Friday Night Fight Club for Carlton’s First Edition Strand, and Chatting to Death for Channel 4.  Since then she has worked on factual programming including Phone Rage and The Girls Who Were Found Alive for the Cutting Edge strand.  Most recently she produced Gareth Malone’s Extraordinary School For Boys for BBC2 before joining Raw Cut’s development team.

Charlotte Stordy - Researcher

After completing a degree in broadcast journalism at the University of Leeds, Charlotte joined Raw Cut in 2007 as a researcher.  Making good use of her exceptional knowledge of media law, she has overseen all the legals for several crime based series, including Road Wars for Sky1. Her other credits include Disaster Eyewitness for Discovery and DV Director on Police Interceptors for Channel 5.  Most recently, Charlotte was the researcher for Dispatches: The Truth About Drugs in Football. In 2009, Charlotte won a place on Fast Track, at the Edinburgh International Television Festival, and her original programme proposal was chosen as one of only four to be pitched to UKTV commissioners in a live session.

Richard Jeffs

Richard Jeffs - Business Affairs

Richard has been with the company since its foundation, being responsible for all contractual relationships with both staff and clients. He also works as a producer and rights expert in all aspects of the Company’s programming.

Richard began his career 35 years ago at BBC Radio before moving in to television. Having worked as a talent agent in Los Angeles, he returned to run the day-to-day affairs of Central TV's programme department. Following his time at Central, Richard went on to work in film and TV in Russia for three years before joining Action Time as International Business Affairs Manager and then setting up his own media consultancy fifteen years ago.
